Real Madrid is monitoring the signing of an Arsenal star
Real Madrid is exploring the transfer market to strengthen its squad with the best players in the world to continue dominating European and world titles under the leadership of historic president Florentino Pérez.
One key position that Real Madrid seeks to reinforce is the center of defense, especially after Alaba’s setback, which might sideline him until the end of the year, and Nacho’s departure to the Saudi League.
In light of this, Real Madrid has targeted French international defender William Saliba, the Arsenal player, as a primary signing for the current summer transfer period.
According to the English newspaper Mirror, Real Madrid is interested in Saliba this summer, following his impressive performance with the French national team in the Euro 2024 Championship currently held in Germany.
The newspaper added that Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti has greatly praised the French defender, considering him one of the best in Europe. Signing him would be a historic deal for Real Madrid, despite the difficulty of Arsenal parting with the player.
Saliba has played 19 international matches with the French national team and 50 matches with Arsenal this season across all competitions, scoring two goals and receiving six yellow cards.
