Upon joining Manchester United, Leny Yoro initially felt a bit lost, as it wasn’t his dream club. However, a conversation with someone who treated him like a brother soon reassured him, helping him feel at home. Yoro has now embraced Manchester United as his new home, crediting one player in particular for helping him settle in: former Manchester United prospect Angel Gomes.
Last week, Manchester United confirmed the signing of the 18-year-old Yoro from Lille for £52 million. Despite being tipped to join Real Madrid, United managed to secure one of football’s most promising talents. Yoro made his debut for the club in a pre-season friendly against Rangers.
United legend Rio Ferdinand also played a significant role in Yoro’s decision to move to Manchester. The new signing shared how Ferdinand spoke to him about the club’s rich history in the days leading up to his transfer.
