Mohamed Salah sends wordless message that says everything about Liverpool mood under Arne Slot

Mohamed Salah has given supporters a positive update as his future at Liverpool remains under close watch following the arrival of new head coach Arne Slot. The Dutchman has big shoes to fill after Jurgen Klopp’s departure at the end of last season and has already had to make decisions about some of his key players, including Salah.
The Egypt international, along with defensive stars Trent Alexander-Arnold and captain Virgil Van Dijk, all have contracts expiring at the end of the 2024/25 season. With significant interest in Salah from Saudi Arabia over the past two transfer windows, it’s understandable that fans fear their best player might leave this summer in a major deal.
After Al-Ittihad’s £150million bid for Salah was rejected last summer, it is believed that securing new deals for all three players is a priority for the club. However, it is unlikely that Salah will be sold this summer, regardless of whether he signs a new contract.
The 32-year-old played a leading role in this week’s preseason opener against Real Betis, assisting Dominic Szoboszlai for the game’s only goal, giving the Reds a 1-0 win to start Slot’s era. Following the match, former Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian, who left Anfield earlier this summer to join Betis, revealed that his former teammates, including Salah, have been praising Slot’s methods.
In an interview with The Athletic, Adrian said: “I speak almost every day with many of the squad – Kostas Tsimikas, Mo Salah. They tell me they like it, the ideology is the same as with Jurgen. To be intense, direct, play with pace, press high, be brave. Liverpool’s squad is made for that. So the new coach will know how to adapt well to the players he has. And I wish him the best.”
Posting to Instagram, the Liverpool star likely reassured many fans about his future by sharing a photo of himself giving a thumbs up to the camera while smiling as he stood next to Wataru Endo.
