Hansi Flick: ‘We played a great second half’

ALTIMORE, Maryland — Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is returning to Barcelona, content with his team’s play during the United States tour. In a postgame press conference following Barça’s third and final tour game against AC Milan, the German manager stated he was satisfied with the squad’s performance throughout the tour, including this final match against the Italians that concluded 2-2 after 90 minutes, despite FC Barcelona falling behind two goals to none in the first quarter hour.

“We played a great second half,” Flick repeated multiple times during the press conference. He also highlighted the two goals scored by Robert Lewandowski. “He deserved both of those goals because he worked very hard for them.”
The manager also praised the full range of young players who participated in the game against AC Milan. “We have 16-year-old players who performed exceptionally well,” he said. “There are players who have really improved over the last several days.”
