TRANSFER TSUNAMI: Manchester United’s Dream Front Three Revealed!
Manchester United remain optimistic about securing Brentford striker Ivan Toney, who has a valuation of £40 million. If the transfer is successful, Toney may play a pivotal role in enhancing Erik ten Hag’s attacking lineup.
Toney, 28, is in the final year of his contract with Brentford, and the club seems open to selling him for around £40 million. The England international has been consistently linked with a move to Manchester United, despite the club’s £36 million purchase of Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee in July, which initially appeared to close the door on their interest in Toney.
Nevertheless, United’s need for an additional forward became more pressing after Rasmus Hojlund was ruled out for the early part of the season, leaving Zirkzee as the sole experienced striker available. Zirkzee, who played for the Netherlands at Euro 2024, missed all of United’s pre-season games and is unlikely to be involved in the upcoming Community Shield match against Manchester City on Saturday.
