LIVERPOOL
BREAKING NEWS: confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, DONE DEAL, Liverpool have seen their second official offer of €60m + bonuses accepted by Real Sociedad for Martin zubimendi. It’s been no secret that signing an additional midfielder during the summer transfer window was one of Liverpool’s major priorities. Liverpool Gets Green Light for Martin zubimendi Signing ◾️ €60m + bonuses! ◾️Personal terms already agreed! ◾️ Real Sociedad accept the offer! 5yrs deal.

There is ongoing speculation surrounding Martin Zubimendi, with reports suggesting that Liverpool has reached an agreement with Real Sociedad to secure his services.
According to a report we covered yesterday from AS, the Reds are prepared to trigger the 60 million euro release clause to bring the Spanish international from the Txuri-Urdin organization.
Journalist Pedro Almeida has reported that Liverpool has struck a deal with Real Sociedad to make Zubimendi the club’s first signing of the summer. On X, Almeida stated: “An agreement has been reached between Liverpool and Real Sociedad for the transfer of Martin Zubimendi.” The transfer fee is set at sixty million euros.
If this information is accurate, the final step in completing the signing of the La Roja midfielder is to agree on personal terms. Mundo Deportivo reported yesterday that the 25-year-old defensive midfielder rejected offers from Arsenal, Bayern, and Barcelona.
However, MD claims that Liverpool’s offer made Zubimendi reconsider, leading him to inform Sociedad of the Reds’ interest in signing him. Given that the proposal appealed to him more than those from the Gunners, the Bavarians, and the Blaugrana, this could be a positive development.
Earning around £2.6 million annually, Zubimendi has the potential to be Liverpool’s equivalent to City’s Rodri. The Spaniard replaced the Sky Blues midfielder at halftime during the Euro 2024 final, helping his country secure the title.
Since Endo was only a temporary signing in the summer of 2017, Zubimendi could finally be the long-term replacement for Fabinho at Anfield.
