His versatility as both a center-back and a left-back, combined with his strong ball-playing abilities, makes him an attractive option for Erik ten Hag’s squad. Securing a player of Hermoso’s quality on a free transfer would indeed be a coup, especially considering the defensive issues currently plaguing Manchester United.
However, given the injury history of the current defenders, it might be wise for Manchester United to consider adding another defensive option to ensure they have sufficient depth and avoid a repeat of last season’s struggles.
