BREAKING: Jurrien Timber Returns to Training in Massive Boost for Arsenal!

Arsenal has received a timely injury boost with the return of Dutch international full-back Jurrien Timber ahead of their Premier League opener against Wolves. Timber has rejoined full training at London Colney, providing a significant lift for the team as they gear up for the new season. The Dutch defender had been sidelined for Arsenal’s last three pre-season matches against Liverpool, Bayer Leverkusen, and Lyon due to a minor foot injury. Despite the injury being relatively minor, Arsenal exercised caution, particularly because Timber is recovering from an ACL injury that kept him out for nearly all of the previous season.
After Arsenal’s pre-season tour in the United States, Timber was given a break from full team training. Following Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Lyon in the Emirates Cup, manager Mikel Arteta confirmed Timber’s recovery was progressing well.
“He’s fine,” Arteta commented on Timber’s injury. “He’s been doing some individual work and is now ready to train with the team. He has had no adverse reactions, so it’s looking positive.”
Timber is now anticipated to be available for Arsenal’s Premier League opener against Wolves on Saturday. If selected, it would be his first start since sustaining an ACL injury during last season’s opening match against Nottingham Forest.
However, Arsenal will be missing Takehiro Tomiyasu, who is still recovering from a knee injury. The Japanese international, who had excelled during Arsenal’s pre-season training camp in Marbella, suffered a new injury just before the U.S. tour. Arteta indicated that Tomiyasu’s recovery would take several weeks.
“Unfortunately, it will take weeks for him to recover,” Arteta stated. “It’s tough for Tomi, considering all his efforts, but he’ll need to be patient and work through this.”
Fabio Vieira also missed the Emirates Cup victory over Lyon due to a minor hip injury. The Portuguese international, who had been a regular on the right wing throughout pre-season, picked up the injury last week.
