Arne Slot’s first change at Liverpool involved ‘ripping up’ long-standing Jurgen Klopp rule

Details of the significant changes Arne Slot has made at Liverpool since succeeding Jurgen Klopp have been disclosed.
As the Premier League season kicks off this weekend, fans are eager to see how Slot, Liverpool’s new manager, will integrate into the Merseyside club.
Slot took over Liverpool in June, following the departure of legendary manager Jurgen Klopp, who left at the end of last season after nine years in charge.
A recent report has highlighted one of the major adjustments Slot has introduced at the club, marking a substantial shift from Klopp’s era.
According to Paul Joyce at The Times, the Dutch manager ‘ripped up’ Klopp’s schedule, initiating the workday at an earlier time of 9:15 am.
Slot, eager to start his tenure at Liverpool, wanted the day to commence as early as possible, enabling training and other team activities to begin sooner.
Another adjustment Slot has made to Liverpool’s daily routine is mandating breakfast at the club, ensuring his team spends quality time together before proceeding to morning meetings, either before or after training.
Conor Bradley, who stood out last season while filling in for the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold, commented on the increased frequency of meetings under Slot, noting the difference from Klopp’s approach.
He stated: “We have meetings almost every day.
“Last year, we didn’t really have meetings, except the day before a game. There are differences between what Jurgen did and what the gaffer does now. I’m enjoying learning new things, so it’s all been really good.”

While replacing Klopp at Liverpool is a daunting challenge for the 45-year-old manager, it seems his time at Liverpool has begun positively.
The Reds won four out of their five preseason matches, including Slot’s debut at Anfield, a commanding 4-1 win over La Liga side Sevilla.
On the same day, another Liverpool squad played Las Palmas, resulting in a 0-0 draw.
After the matches, Slot commented: “Some of them with the certain new ideas we have, have only been [working] with this for a week so they have to adjust to that.”
“So it’s normal that we are far from perfect, but even being far from perfect we can score four, so that’s a good start.”
