Guardiola offers Barcelona swap deal including Pedri اتر

Pep Guardiola hasn’t forgotten about Pedri González and still views him as an attractive option for Manchester City. This interest comes as the Premier League champions face the loss of Julián Álvarez, who has moved to Atlético de Madrid, and Oscar Bobb, one of the preseason standouts, who suffered a significant injury that will sideline him for several months. Despite signing Savio Moreira, City plans to explore the transfer market further.

According to *El Nacional*, Pedri is highly regarded by Guardiola, who previously attempted to sign him. However, an agreement with Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, could not be reached at that time. The situation has since shifted following the dismissal of Xavi Hernández and the appointment of Hansi Flick as Barcelona’s head coach, who does not consider Pedri untouchable.

The newspaper also noted that Barcelona already has depth in Pedri’s position with players like Fermin Lopez, Frenkie de Jong, Ilkay Gündoğan, and Dani Olmo, their only new signing at Camp Nou. Therefore, Pedri’s departure might not be too painful for the club.

Additionally, Guardiola has reportedly proposed a swap deal that would involve Pedri moving to Manchester City in exchange for Barcelona receiving City’s Portuguese star Bernardo Silva. Silva is highly admired within Barcelona, and his arrival could significantly strengthen the squad, aligning with Flick’s interest in the player.
