Barcelona star refuses to continue with the team and is close to leaving for Manchester

The focus now shifts to Barcelona midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, whose future remains uncertain as the transfer market unfolds. Spanish media reports suggest that Gundogan has requested to leave Barcelona this summer.
According to “Radio Catalonia,” Gundogan has reached out to Manchester City, seeking a return, and is currently in advanced negotiations with the English club to depart from Barcelona.
The report also states that Manchester City is considering Gundogan’s potential return, while Barcelona appears open to letting the German star go to free up space in the wage structure and gain financially.
Finally, the source indicated that Hans Flick was unable to persuade Gundogan to remain at Barcelona, especially with interest from Saudi clubs and Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho in securing the services of the German international.
