Man Utd Could Seal Late Deal for Another Attacker

on

Manchester United have been notably active in the ongoing transfer window, securing major signings such as Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui.

Despite these acquisitions, the Red Devils are still exploring additional reinforcements, particularly targeting the midfield and left-back positions.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte has become United’s primary target to bolster their midfield, but the search for defensive reinforcements remains somewhat uncertain.

While the addition of Mazraoui, who is versatile enough to play on both sides of the defense, may lessen the urgency for a new left-back, Manchester United are keeping their options open.

According to David Ornstein, speaking on Sky Sports’ Back Pages Podcast, United may still consider signing another attacker before the transfer window closes, even after securing Zirkzee.

This possibility emerges amidst ongoing concerns about the squad’s depth, especially with Jadon Sancho being linked with a potential exit from Old Trafford. If Sancho leaves, United may look to bring in a new winger.

Moreover, with Rasmus Højlund currently out due to injury, Erik ten Hag’s team is also contemplating adding another striker to their lineup.

Brentford’s Ivan Toney has been suggested as a potential option to enhance United’s attacking options.

As the transfer window approaches its conclusion, it remains to be seen how Manchester United will navigate these final weeks.

With midfield reinforcements a priority and the potential for a late addition to the attack, the club’s transfer activity continues to be a central focus in what has been a compelling summer at Old Trafford.
