Johan Bakayoko has yet to commit his future to PSV Eindhoven amid ongoing speculation linking him to Liverpool. The 21-year-old Belgian international admitted that he had previously turned down an opportunity to move to the Premier League last summer.

In recent weeks, Bakayoko has been linked with potential transfers to Liverpool, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich. His outstanding performances this season played a pivotal role in PSV clinching the Eredivisie title. According to Dutch media, the right-winger could be available for a transfer fee as low as €50 million this summer.

Despite his involvement with the Belgian national team at the upcoming European Championships, Bakayoko has refrained from revealing his plans for the next season, even with interest from Premier League clubs.

“The only thing I can say is that next year I will be playing football somewhere,” Bakayoko told the Dutch newspaper *Het Belang van Limburg*.

Bakayoko also acknowledged that Premier League interest isn’t new to him, revealing that Vincent Kompany, his fellow countryman, had tried to bring him to newly-promoted Burnley last summer.

“I did receive a call from Kompany last year,” Bakayoko shared. “He laid out his vision. It was nice, and I explained my perspective. We had a good conversation, but that was last summer.”
