Pipe Sierra, the journalist who first reported the Colombian’s move to Anfield in 2022, provided an update on X (formerly Twitter) yesterday. This comes amid interest from European competitors, including Luis Enrique’s PSG.

The 27-year-old’s contract is set to run until the summer of 2027, making him a lower priority for immediate contract talks. Instead, Liverpool is likely to focus on the contracts of key players like Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Mo Salah, all of which expire in 2025.

Nonetheless, securing the 13-goal winger’s future and maintaining his happiness at Liverpool would be advantageous.

PSG is among the interested parties, particularly in light of Kylian Mbappe’s anticipated departure. Additionally, Luis Manuel Diaz Jimenez, the player’s father, has openly discussed their dream of playing in Spain, with Barcelona being a likely destination. However, Barcelona’s ongoing financial issues may hinder any potential move.
