Liverpool Eyeing Reunion with Feyenoord Star as Slot Seeks Midfield Reinforcement

Liverpool have enjoyed a strong start to the 2024/25 Premier League season under new manager Arne Slot, securing victories in their opening two matches against Ipswich Town and Brentford without conceding a goal. Slot’s slick, attacking style of play has caught attention, but the Dutchman reportedly remains unconvinced by two of his current midfielders, Wataru Endo and Curtis Jones.

According to TEAMtalk, Slot is keen on bolstering his midfield before the transfer window closes on August 30, with Feyenoord’s Quinten Timber emerging as a key target. Timber, who played 44 games under Slot last season, impressed with eight goals and ten assists and has been identified as a potential signing to fit Slot’s system at Liverpool. Timber’s pace and versatility in the No.6 role make him an attractive option, as he could offer both attacking contributions and defensive solidity in Liverpool’s transitional style of play.

With Timber entering the final two years of his contract at Feyenoord, a deal could be struck for a relatively modest fee. Keep an eye on this potential reunion as Liverpool continue their hunt for midfield reinforcements.
