**Before Barcelona’s clash with Rayo Vallecano, Flick urgently contacted Joan Laporta and Deco, emphasizing the necessity of signing a particular player to ensure the club’s success this season.**

Barcelona has been grappling with financial issues and a spate of injuries, especially among defenders, including Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen. Christensen’s Achilles injury is particularly serious, expected to keep him out for at least two months.

In response to Christensen’s injury, Barcelona quickly acted by registering their new signing, Dani Olmo. Using documents to prove the long-term nature of Christensen’s absence, the club was able to tap into part of Christensen’s salary to facilitate Olmo’s registration with La Liga.

However, this decision stirred controversy. Christensen, who joined Barcelona from Chelsea, was reportedly unhappy with the club using his injury for financial maneuvering. Nevertheless, Barcelona assured Christensen that he remains registered with La Liga and will return to the squad as soon as he recovers.

Barcelona is optimistic that they will raise the necessary funds by the time Christensen is fit to play again. Potential strategies include new agreements with Nike or securing a new investor for Barça Vision. These financial solutions are also expected to cover the salary space for Ronald Araujo, whose salary was partially used to register players.

As Olmo prepares for his Barcelona debut, the club remains hopeful that it can navigate its financial hurdles and maintain a competitive squad for the season.
