Arsenal are reportedly considering a late transfer window move for Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling after being offered the chance to sign him. Various sources indicate that while Arsenal has yet to make a definitive decision, the opportunity to acquire Sterling remains open if financial terms can be agreed upon.

According to Sami Mokbel of the *Daily Mail*, Arsenal were recently approached with the option to sign Sterling, but no action has been taken so far. The move would depend on an agreement between Chelsea and Sterling regarding his departure, specifically concerning the financial aspects.

James Olley from ESPN also confirmed that Sterling’s representatives have contacted Arsenal, indicating the player’s interest in a permanent move to another Premier League club. Sterling is reportedly seeking more regular playing time, and Arsenal could be interested in bolstering their attacking options.

Miguel Delaney of the *Independent* highlighted the strong relationship between Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Sterling, dating back to their time together at Manchester City, where Arteta served as an assistant coach under Pep Guardiola. Arteta believes Sterling could positively impact the Arsenal squad. However, Delaney notes that Arsenal are hesitant to pay a transfer fee for the England international, meaning a move would likely depend on Sterling terminating his current contract with Chelsea.

Jacob Steinberg and Ed Aarons of the *Guardian* also reported that Arsenal are at least considering the offer from Sterling’s camp. However, they emphasized that the deal would be challenging to finalize due to the financial complexities and the limited time remaining in the transfer window.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have also expressed interest in Sterling and have discussed a potential swap deal with Chelsea involving Jadon Sancho. Regardless of Arsenal’s decision, Sancho could still end up at Chelsea.

Sterling made 43 appearances for Chelsea during the 2023/24 season, scoring 10 goals and providing eight assists. His versatility across multiple attacking positions makes him a valuable asset for any team, including Arsenal.

As the transfer window nears its close, the timing of any deal is critical. With no agreement yet between Sterling and Chelsea, it seems unlikely that he would be involved in Arsenal’s upcoming match against Brighton unless negotiations conclude quickly.

Ultimately, Arsenal’s interest in Sterling reflects their broader strategy of strengthening their squad while maintaining financial caution, with Manchester United also a factor in the ongoing situation.
