Espanyol remains firm on their price, leading Arsenal to pursue an alternative option. Instead, they have arranged a season-long loan for Neto from Bournemouth, who is scheduled for a medical examination this morning.

The decision has sparked mixed reactions among fans. Some appreciate the club’s prudent financial approach, choosing not to spend the entire sum from Ramsdale’s sale on a backup goalkeeper, given David Raya’s strong position as the first choice. Others, however, question whether Neto is adequately prepared to replace Raya if needed.

Arsenal’s rationale appears consistent with their broader transfer strategy.
