The news has just been broken to the public that the superstar player from Liverpool has finally declined to extend his contract
As long as uncertainty surrounds the futures of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mo Salah, and Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool supporters can expect speculation to continue. The latest report from Sport suggests that Alexander-Arnold’s “refusal” to extend his contract signals his openness to a possible summer departure.
With this in mind, Real Madrid is reportedly prepared to “open the doors” to welcome the world-class defender into their squad. Given that both Dani Carvajal (32) and Lucas Vazquez (33) are in their 30s, the Spanish club is keeping a close watch on the situation.
Signing arguably the best right-back in world football would be an ideal succession plan for Madrid. But could Real Madrid’s interest sway Alexander-Arnold’s decision?
