Chelsea has reportedly lined up Brazilian teenage prodigy Estevao Willian as a potential replacement for Cole Palmer. The club’s management has assured Estevao that he will feature as a number 10 in future games, which may result in Palmer moving away from that role.

Since the takeover from Roman Abramovich, Chelsea has spent over £1 billion on new players, though many have failed to meet expectations. However, former Manchester City player Palmer has been a standout, registering 27 goals and 15 assists in his first season at Stamford Bridge.

Estevao Willian, another rising star, is being pushed by his camp to play as a number 10 to help build his confidence. His representatives told Brazilian media outlet UOL that playing in a central role would be crucial for his development due to his versatility.

Palmer has previously expressed his ability to adapt to various positions as needed, having played in a range of roles throughout his career, from left-back to forward.

Chelsea scouts have been tracking Estevao Willian for some time, with the young player drawing comparisons to Lionel Messi from fans and coaches. The club signed him for £56 million as part of their long-term plans. However, due to Brexit rules, Estevao, who is under 18, faces visa challenges and is expected to get more playing time next season.
