Erik ten Hag Names One Player Who Could Be Influential for Man United This Season

Manchester United, struggling to find their footing in the Premier League since their last title win in 2013, have faced a challenging start to the season. After two opening defeats, including a severe 3-0 home loss to Liverpool, Erik ten Hag’s position has come under scrutiny. However, United showed signs of recovery with recent wins over Southampton and Barnsley.
Amidst the turbulence, Ten Hag has identified Marcus Rashford as a crucial player for the season. Following Rashford’s brace in the Carabao Cup victory over Barnsley, Ten Hag highlighted Rashford’s potential to be a game-changer for the team.
“The goals not only have to come from Marcus Rashford,” Ten Hag remarked, “but having a player who is a guarantee for goals can make the difference.” Rashford, who netted 30 goals in Ten Hag’s first season, is now aiming to recapture that form after a prolonged scoring drought.
In addition to Rashford, other players such as Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo, Lisandro Martinez, and Rasmus Hojlund are expected to play significant roles. United’s goalkeeper, Andre Onana, also praised Rashford’s return to form, expressing relief that the England international is back on the scoresheet after a challenging previous season.
