Lewandowski, one of the highest-paid players at the club alongside Frenkie de Jong, has been linked with a potential departure due to the uncertainty surrounding his future.

Fortunately, coach Hansi Flick has played a key role in reviving Lewandowski’s form, which had not been evident under Xavi Hernandez due to personal issues.

Flick, who got the best out of Lewandowski during their time at Bayern Munich, has again shown his ability to bring out the Polish striker’s brilliance. According to the Spanish newspaper *El Nacional*, despite Lewandowski’s strong performances, his future at Camp Nou remains uncertain, as his contract ends on June 30, when he will be nearly 37 years old. As a result, Barcelona has started considering a younger and more dynamic replacement, with Victor Gyökeres being their top target.

Sporting Lisbon forward Gyökeres has been impressive since joining the club over a year ago, scoring eight goals and providing three assists in six matches this season. Gyökeres currently leads the major leagues in scoring for 2024, ahead of stars like Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, and Kylian Mbappé.

Laporta and Deco have expressed optimism about Gyökeres, viewing him as a possible successor to Lewandowski due to his similar attributes. However, signing him could prove difficult, as clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United are also interested. Additionally, Gyökeres has a release clause of €80 million, making negotiations with Sporting Lisbon challenging for Barcelona.
