Paris Saint-Germain have shown they are currently ill-equipped to compete for the Champions League, with Kylian Mbappé’s departure leaving a significant gap that the team has struggled to fill.

In the first round, they barely managed to secure a win against a modest Girona side, followed by a convincing defeat to Arsenal in the second round, where Mikel Arteta’s team displayed clear dominance. According to *El Nacional*, coach Luis Enrique is facing heavy criticism, particularly after his sudden decision to bench Ousmane Dembélé and remove Randal Kolo Muani from the starting lineup in favor of Kang-In Lee.

The report adds that several players are frustrated with Enrique’s management, including Fabián Ruiz, who has asked his agent to find him a way out. Despite being a key figure last season, the arrival of João Neves from Benfica has significantly reduced his role, limiting him to just 315 minutes of play.

Fabián is eager to return to La Liga, hoping for an offer from Barcelona to join Hansi Flick’s project, as he believes he can thrive there and is keen on a permanent exit from Paris Saint-Germain. Meanwhile, *El Nacional* confirmed that Barcelona officials view Fabián Ruiz as one of the top midfield talents and see him as a strong addition to the squad.

Barcelona’s German coach is a big admirer of Fabián’s abilities and is pushing Joan Laporta to expedite the transfer, believing the Spanish midfielder could potentially surpass Frenkie de Jong in performance.
