FC Barcelona : Hansi Flick has made a strong decision, Jules Kounde has been sanctioned !
Jules Kounde’s absence from the starting lineup for the match against Alaves was not due to sporting reasons, but rather a suspension imposed for arriving late to the pre-match talk.
Despite being highly regarded by his coach, Hansi Flick, the French defender was temporarily benched as a consequence. Kounde, who had played every minute of the season in La Liga up until this match (900/900 possible minutes), accepted the decision without issue.
However, he did make an appearance in the final 25 minutes, replacing Hector Fort, who was making his first start under Flick. The situation is expected to return to normal for Kounde after the upcoming international break, with no lasting consequences from this disciplinary action.
