ARSENAL STAR NOT IN FUTURE PLANS FOR MIKEL ARTETA

It has been revealed that a forgotten Arsenal player, Kieran Tierney, is not part of Mikel Arteta’s future plans and is expected to depart during the January transfer window.

Following a largely unsuccessful loan spell at Real Sociedad, Tierney was widely expected to leave Arsenal over the summer. However, a serious hamstring injury during Scotland’s Euro 2024 group stage match against Switzerland, which ended in a 1-1 draw, disrupted those plans. The injury sidelined Tierney and shelved any transfer talks.

Although Tierney has since recovered, he has yet to make an appearance in any matchday squad for Arsenal this season, leading some to forget that he’s still part of the team.

According to reliable Arsenal journalist Charles Watts, the 27-year-old left-back is no longer in Arteta’s plans and is likely to leave soon. Speaking to *CaughtOffside*, Watts said, “Kieran Tierney is NOT in Mikel Arteta’s plans anymore.

There is no bad blood; he understands that the club has moved on, and his attributes as a left-back don’t suit the system Arsenal now plays. He is working his way back to full fitness after the hamstring injury from the Euros.

Had it not been for that injury, I’m sure Tierney would already be playing for another club. He’ll likely seek a loan move in January to get some playing time before aiming for a permanent transfer in the summer.”

Despite his injury struggles, Tierney has remained a fan favorite, with many Arsenal supporters expressing their disappointment at this development. One fan remarked on X (formerly Twitter), “It’s completely disrespectful for a player who was our best during tough times. It’s harsh, but I understand it’s just how things go, although some players seem to be treated better than others.”
