Great news for Hansi Flick!
Here’s news that will undoubtedly excite FC Barcelona fans. Gavi, sidelined since his severe injury to the anterior cruciate ligament and the outer meniscus of his knee in November 2023, is nearing a return to action.
According to *Mundo Deportivo*, the Blaugrana medical team could clear the Spanish midfielder to play after the upcoming international break. Gavi has been training with the team since 12 September.
As for the exact date of his return, the sports daily reports that the German coach prefers to proceed cautiously due to the numerous injuries affecting the squad, which includes Ronald Araujo, Marc Bernal, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Andreas Christensen, Fermin Lopez, and Dani Olmo.
Despite this, Spanish media suggests that Gavi’s return could be on the cards for Barcelona’s next match. According to reports, Flick is considering bringing him back into the squad for the game against FC Sevilla, scheduled for October 20, on La Liga’s 9th matchday.
