Thierry Henry warns Hansi Flick about Barcelona star: He will ru.in the team’s season in a way no one expected اترك تعلي
Barcelona have been enjoying a strong season so far. Despite experiencing their first La Liga defeat of the season against Osasuna, the Catalan side quickly bounced back by securing a 5-0 victory over Young Boys in the Champions League, followed by a win against Alaves in La Liga.
Following the current international break, Barcelona are gearing up for crucial and intense matches. Hansi Flick’s squad will first face Sevilla in La Liga, before hosting the German powerhouse Bayern Munich in the third round of the Champions League.
In a recent television interview, French football icon and former Barcelona star Thierry Henry commented on the significant impact German coach Hansi Flick has had on the team since taking charge.
Henry stated: “The players’ performances have improved under his leadership. Lamine Yamal has shown greater maturity, and Raphinha, under Flick, is the best winger in the world. His continued form could make him a strong contender for next season’s Ballon d’Or. Lewandowski has made an incredible comeback.”
However, Henry expressed concern over Barcelona’s recent acquisition of Polish goalkeeper Szczesny, who was brought in to replace the injured Ter Stegen.
Henry cautioned Flick about Szczesny, warning that the goalkeeper might cause problems for Barcelona that could jeopardize the team’s ambitions. He emphasized that Szczesny’s inconsistency is a major issue, as his performance fluctuates regardless of the match’s significance.
Henry pointed out that Szczesny could deliver a stellar performance in a league game, only to have a disastrous showing in a Champions League quarter-final. This pattern, Henry noted, has been seen frequently with both Juventus and his former club, Arsenal.
Henry concluded by stressing the importance of leaving Szczesny out of critical and decisive matches, warning that his inconsistency could ruin Barcelona’s season in a way no one would anticipate.
