Thomas Tuchel reveals why he turned down Manchester United

Manchester United might regret not having hired Thomas Tuchel, now the coach of the English team.
The 51-year-old coach was officially announced on Wednesday, while he had been heavily rumored to take charge of the Red Devils. When asked about his decision to join the English side instead of the Manchester club, the former PSG coach avoided addressing the controversy.

“The approach of Mark (Bullingham, FA general manager) and John (McDermott, men’s team technical director) was very convincing, confident, and straightforward. I made this decision for this position, not against someone else,” he stated during a press conference in England.
To recall, Tuchel was expected to sign with Manchester United this summer, but his candidacy was eventually passed over in favor of Erik ten Hag, who is under pressure after a poor start to the season. The Red Devils, currently 14th in the Premier League, may regret this decision, especially if Ten Hag were to be dismissed and Tuchel became unavailable.
