LIVERPOOL
🔥🏟️LiverpoolArne Slot decides to sell TWO Liverpool stars in major overhaul

This was a given with Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili coming in at the end of the season. However, both of Liverpool’s current shot-stoppers may be out of the door before we realise.
Alisson could reasonably still hold claim to the ‘best in the world’ title, but with his current contract expiring in the summer of 2027, this year will be the time to maximise their returns on the Brazilian if they do see Mamardashvili as their starter of the future.
Meanwhile, backup Caoimhin Kelleher has made his intentions to leave known for a while now. Yet, his essentiality to this Liverpool squad will be shown again as he faces an extended run between the sticks due to Alisson’s newest injury woes.
Liverpool have reportedly set a £30m price tag on Kelleher’s head after knocking back an approach from Nottingham Forest in the summer.
Liverpool to field Alisson interest
New reports from Football Insider only serve to confirm the turnover rumours regarding Liverpool’s goalkeepers.
Reportedly, Liverpool are set to field interest in Alisson come the summer, with clubs in Saudi Arabia expected to compete to secure his services amid ‘concerns’ in the club’s medical department over his fitness.
Approaches from Saudi were made in the previous transfer window but knocked back. With numerous Reds not being able to resist the astronomical wages offered by Saudi teams, it wouldn’t be surprising if Alisson were to join this list.
Rumours of interest by Barcelona have also followed Alisson around this year, with the Spanish giants facing goalkeeping issues of their own. The report states that ‘top European clubs’ are expected to be interested, so one can only assume they are part of this.
A separate Football Insider report also states that Liverpool will let Caoimhin Kelleher leave in the summer.
Liverpool will allow Kelleher to leave
This is hardly surprising given the level of interest and noise coming from Kelleher’s own side. It is anticipated that Forest will be interested again but Kelleher has the chance to seriously put himself in the shop window over the next period of crucial games for Liverpool.
The question that remains, however, is what happens if either or both players are sold? With the Kelleher report being more definitive, Alisson seeing out another season whilst Mamardashvili is bled in makes sense. But if Alisson alone leaves, Liverpool will surely want to retain Kelleher’s services to make consistent use of two goalkeepers as they have of recent.
And if both players leave, Liverpool will surely need to sign another backup at the bare minimum. Who that is could be anyone’s guess right now, although links to Roma’s Mile Svilar make more sense in that regard.
