Barca : At 6 days from Bayern, Hansi Flick makes a big decision for Yamal
Lamine Yamal, FC Barcelona’s young star, has returned from international duty with the Spanish national team earlier than expected due to a muscle overload in his left thigh, as confirmed by the club.
Although the injury is minor, it requires careful management, and Yamal is expected to be rested this weekend during Barcelona’s La Liga match against Sevilla to safeguard his recovery.
While no exact recovery timeline has been given, the priority is ensuring Yamal fully recovers. If his progress goes well, he could be available for the highly anticipated El Clasico against Real Madrid on October 26 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Yamal, who suffered the injury during Spain’s 1-0 victory over Denmark, underwent thorough examinations upon returning to Barcelona. The results confirmed the issue was not serious.
However, he is unlikely to feature in Barcelona’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich on October 23, as the focus is on preparing him to be fully fit for the Clasico. Having been involved in every Barca match this season, Yamal is aiming to return in top condition for this crucial encounter.
