Messi praises Real Madrid talent: He has an incredible mentality
Life and circumstances take various twists, making the destiny of many players beyond their control, which may be the case for some players who are compelled to leave to prove their worth and then return to where they truly belong.
There are numerous examples of this at Real Madrid, where the same happened with Brahim Díaz, Marco Asensio, and Federico Valverde, who all returned to become top-tier stars.
In light of this, Lionel Messi, the Argentine national team and Inter Miami star, praised the young Real Madrid player Nico Paz, who recently joined the ranks of Como in Italy.
The 20-year-old Argentine Nico Paz moved to play for Como this summer from Real Madrid to gain regular playing time, as he made a permanent move, but Los Blancos included a clause in his contract allowing them to re-sign him.
Nico Paz’s performances at Como have led Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni to select him for the national team’s international break matches in the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Lionel Messi commented on Nico Paz, saying: “Nico Paz has an incredible mentality, that’s why he is now in this position, Real Madrid will get him back and he will become a legend there.”
He also said: “Nico has a lot of quality and understands the game perfectly. He has an incredible mentality, and he is with Cesc Fabregas as a coach and he is my friend and he will help him grow a lot.”
These remarks from Messi serve as a great boost for Nico Paz, who has a bright future ahead of him, and if he continues to progress, Real Madrid’s management will not hesitate to bring him back.
Real Madrid holds 50% of the rights to the young Argentine, and they have the option to re-sign him next summer for approximately 6 million euros, especially if Dani Ceballos and Luka Modric are confirmed to depart.
