NEWSJamie Carragher raises concerns about Howard Webb following the red card issued to William Saliba, as the PGMOL chief was observed…

Jamie Carragher has questioned Howard Webb’s possible involvement after William Saliba received a red card during Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth.
Carragher’s comments suggest concerns about Webb’s role in overseeing the officiating during the game.
Saliba was initially shown a yellow card by referee Rob Jones for a foul on Evanilson in the first half at The Vitality Stadium. However, after a VAR review, the decision was upgraded to a red card. As a result, Saliba will miss Arsenal’s crucial match against Liverpool.
Carragher speculated on social media, wondering if Webb had a role in the decision, noting that he was seen using his phone in the stands during the incident. In a now-deleted tweet, Carragher asked, “Did Howard Webb have any involvement in the decision to issue a red card to Saliba?”
Arsenal fans were angered by the red card, directing their frustration toward Webb and the PGMOL, with chants of “F*** Howard Webb.” Despite going down to ten men, Arsenal managed to keep the scoreline at 0-0 by halftime but ultimately lost 2-0 in the second half.
This defeat adds to Arsenal’s challenges, as captain Martin Odegaard remains sidelined with an injury, though Arteta hinted Odegaard might be fit for the Liverpool match.
