Barcelona recently secured a remarkable victory over its host, Real Madrid, with a decisive score of four goals to none in the latest El Clasico.

With this triumph, Barcelona solidifies its lead in the Spanish League standings, reaching 30 points, while Real Madrid remains in second place with 24 points, trailing by 6 points. As reported by “El Nacional,” the German coach expressed joy over his players’ performance, which was instrumental in Barcelona’s impressive win.

The newspaper stated that Flick first approached Barcelona’s standout goalkeeper, Pena, after the game, congratulating him on his outstanding performance and naming him the best player of the match, surpassing Yamal and Lewandowski. Flick told his assistant that he was thrilled with the Spanish goalkeeper’s exceptional level, saying: “He deserved the trust I put in him; he is amazing.”

The report added that Flick also went over to the team’s young defender, Coparsi, embraced him, and said: “You were the rock on which Real Madrid’s dreams were shattered in the match.” The young Spanish player effectively disrupted Real Madrid’s attacks, repeatedly catching their attackers in the offside trap, which was crucial to Barcelona’s win.

Flick also acknowledged the season’s standout, Rafinha, congratulating him on the historic victory and saying: “I told Carlo last week that the best players are in Barcelona, but he didn’t believe it until he saw it himself tonight.” According to the newspaper, the player who brought Flick the most satisfaction after the game was De Jong, whose impact transformed Barcelona’s play. Flick spoke to him, saying: “Yes, this is the player we all love in Barcelona.”

De Jong handled Real Madrid’s pressure with his composed passing, denying Madrid’s midfielders control of the ball and forcing them to chase it throughout the second half.

In an unexpected turn, Joan Laporta entered the team’s dressing room immediately after the match and approached star midfielder Pedri, who had a historic game. He told him: “You played with Real Madrid’s midfielders as if you were in your garden playing with your children.” Laporta then congratulated Flick on the legendary season he has led Barcelona through and urged him to keep De Jong and Olmo in the starting lineup.

Laporta believes that with the return of De Jong and Olmo, along with Yamal, Rafinha, and Lewandowski, the true Barcelona has returned, and European clubs should be on high alert.
