Real Madrid ‘have already decided’ on their next manager after dismal defeat against Barcelona
Following a heavy 4-0 loss to rivals Barcelona, Real Madrid are reportedly considering Zinedine Zidane as their next manager. Goals from Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, and Raphinha handed Madrid a stinging defeat, leaving them six points behind in La Liga and intensifying pressure on current manager Carlo Ancelotti.
According to *Fichajes*, club president Florentino Perez is prepared to replace Ancelotti if results don’t improve, with Zidane—a former Madrid manager who led the team to 11 trophies, including three consecutive Champions League titles—touted as the favored successor. However, Manchester United might also be interested in Zidane, given recent speculation around Erik ten Hag’s future at Old Trafford.
After the match, Ancelotti expressed his gratitude to the fans, emphasizing the need to learn from the loss but remaining optimistic. “We can’t give up; the season is long,” he said. Ancelotti also reflected on Madrid’s first-half performance, underscoring his faith in the squad. However, it’s clear that his future depends on the team’s ability to rebound and close the gap at the top of the league.
