Rodrigo humiliates Vinci after the Ballon d’Or 2024, the video disgusts everyone
While Vinicius Jr faces frustrations since Rodri’s consecration to the’or ball, the Manchester City midfielder seems to want to finish Real Madrid’s number 7. After his victory, the’Spanish is mocked by his challenger with a video that makes a big noise in Madrid.
Following his unexpected award, defended by Pep Guardiola, Rodri was spotted at a Paris restaurant celebrating his victory with family and teammates—a typical post-triumph gathering. However, events quickly took an unexpected turn that caught everyone’s attention. In a video posted and later deleted by Manchester City, Rodri is seen singing the iconic revolutionary anthem *Bella Ciao*, which has gained widespread popularity. But this time, he modified the lyrics to deliver a pointed message to Vinicius Jr., already caught off guard, chanting, “Vinicius! Vinicius! Ciao! Ciao Ciao!” in front of a laughing Ruben Dias.
This clip, later shared by *El Chiringuito*, quickly set social media ablaze. Fans and football figures were swift to respond, with some even accusing Rodri of disrespecting Vinicius. Regardless, the video has only heightened the existing tensions between Madrid fans and Ballon d’Or voters.
Could Rodri’s Real Madrid transfer hopes be in jeopardy?
Despite being taken down, the video was seen by many Madrid fans as an insult. As a result, some Real Madrid supporters may no longer welcome the prospect of Rodri joining the Spanish capital’s club.
Recently, there have been rumors of Real Madrid’s interest in Rodri. The midfielder, originally from Madrid, has been said to admire the club and might envision a future at the Bernabeu. During Euro 2024, Dani Carvajal even tried to persuade him to join Real Madrid in the summer of 2025, a year before his Manchester City contract expires. Yet this Ballon d’Or incident may disrupt those plans.
