Mazraoui especially stood out with a strong performance, earning United’s Man of the Match award. However, the front three struggled to make an impact, with United looking lackluster in the attacking third.
Marcus Rashford began well but faded after swapping wings with Alejandro Garnacho—a decision by Van Nistelrooy that puzzled some.
Incoming head coach Ruben Amorim will have plenty to address upon his arrival at Old Trafford, with consistent scoring likely at the top of his priority list.
