💥🏟️Virgil van Dijk sends message to Liverpool fans after new contract update

The 32-year-old is one of three key Liverpool players, alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah, who, as things stand, are set to leave on a free at the end of the season.
Due to his contract situation, Van Dijk would be able to negotiate a potential summer transfer with foreign clubs from January 1st.
According to Anfield Watch, however, the captain is set to remain at Anfield beyond the end of the season, with his agent telling interested parties that he is no longer attainable.
Liverpool set to be handed major Virgil van Dijk boost
The centre-back has been key for Arne Slot throughout his impressive start to life at the club, playing every minute in their Premier League and Champions League campaigns.
His performance in their 2-0 win over Real Madrid on Wednesday further cemented his importance, with Van Dijk ending the game with a 96 per cent pass accuracy rate, an 89 per cent long-ball accuracy rate, and winning 3/3 aerial duels.
No doubt delighted with both his own and the team’s performance, Van Dijk took to Instagram to share a series of images from the game with fans.
It’s Man City in the Premier League up next for Liverpool after expertly dispatching the current European Champions, with the two title challengers meeting at Anfield on Sunday (December 1).
Should Slot’s side win, they’ll go 12 points clear at the top of the league and severely dent City’s chances of a fifth consecutive title.
