LIVERPOOL
🏟️🚨This is when Ibrahima Konate will return from the injury

Liverpool’s main defender, Ibrahima Konate, won’t be available for his team in the next clash against Manchester City due to an injury he picked up in the 2-0 UEFA Champions League win against Real Madrid.
The Frenchman sustained a knee injury minutes before the full-time after Endrick caused a foul on him, which made the player stay on the ground in pain.
After his medical reports came out, Ibrahima Konate posted on his social media about the situation saying that it is so frustrating to pick up an injury after an incredible Wednesday night at Anfield.

The player continued by saying that the recovery process has started and he promises to come back stronger soon and be the at his best once again.
Liverpool faces Manchester City on Sunday and Konate’s missing will be a huge problem for Arne Slot due to the player’s amazing performances since the start of the season.
Konate has been a regular starter in almost every game in the 24/25 season, becoming the key defenders in the squad alongside Virgil van Dijk, which helped the team to go at the top of the Premier League and Champions League table.
According to the latest reports, the defender will be out for five to six weeks. He is expected to return to the pitch at the start of the new year on 10 January. These are the matches that Ibrahima Konate will miss due to his injury:
Manchester City (Home) – 1 December
Newcastle United (Away) – 4 December
Everton (Away) – 7 December
Girona (Away) – 10 December
Fulham (Home) – 14 December
Southampton (Away) – 18 December
Tottenham Hotspur (Away) – 21 December
Leicester City (Home) – 26 December
West Ham (Away) – 29 December
Manchester United (Home) – 5 January
His first match after his return from injury is expected to be against Nottingham Forest on January 14, 2025. Ibrahima Konate’s comeback could be a huge boost for Liverpool whose only loss this season was against Nuno Santos’s team.
Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah are the two center-backs who could be replacing Ibrahima Konate until his return. The two defenders have already shown great performances when they had the chance to play for Liverpool, so Arne Slot now has to choose who could start alongside the Reds’s captain.
