“Arsenal has initiated contact with a club about the potential acquisition of a striker valued at £50 million, following stalled negotiations over the player’s contract extension. The Gunners are aiming to enhance their attacking options amid ongoing uncertainties surrounding their current squad and transfer plans.

While much attention has been directed toward securing a winger to cover for Bukayo Saka, sidelined for two months after hamstring surgery, Arsenal is also prioritizing the recruitment of a centre-forward.

Players such as Dani Olmo of Barcelona and Randal Kolo Muani of PSG have been mentioned as possible replacements for Saka. However, credible sources highlight Arsenal’s simultaneous focus on bolstering their striker options.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal is considering acquiring a new striker in the January transfer window despite the inherent difficulties of signing top-tier players mid-season. One name reportedly under consideration is Victor Osimhen, whose loan deal with Galatasaray includes a break clause that could facilitate a move this winter.

Although Gabriel Jesus has delivered exceptional performances, scoring five goals in two matches against Crystal Palace, and Kai Havertz has shown adaptability in the striker role, doubts linger about the sustainability of Arsenal’s current attacking lineup.

Arsenal has long been associated with high-profile strikers, including Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig, whom they pursued in the summer. Although Sesko remained in the Bundesliga, rumors suggest Arsenal might reignite their interest in 2025, given a rumored “gentlemen’s agreement” regarding his eventual departure.

Beyond Sesko, Arsenal is reportedly monitoring Omar Marmoush of Eintracht Frankfurt. CaughtOffside reports that Marmoush has drawn Arsenal’s attention after an outstanding 2024/25 season, during which he tallied 18 goals and 12 assists across all competitions.

Marmoush’s unsettled contract situation has added to Arsenal’s interest, as the 25-year-old is reportedly dissatisfied with renewal discussions at his current club. His market value is estimated at £50 million.

By actively pursuing Marmoush, Arsenal has positioned themselves ahead of rival Premier League clubs. While it remains unclear if a deal will materialize in January, the Gunners are taking steps to capitalize on Marmoush’s circumstances and reinforce their att

acking lineup.”
