Enzo Maresca on Crystal Palace draw: ‘We did enough to win’

“We did enough to win the game today,” Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca told a press conference after the Blues’ 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
“Between the first and second halves, we created enough chances to win the game, but we need to be clinical.
“Unfortunately, in the end, we conceded but overall I think we did enough to win the game.”
Chelsea have failed to win their last four Premier League matches, gaining just two out of possible 12 points.
‘Very annoying’: Jadon Sancho reacts as Chelsea drop points vs Crystal Palace
“It’s very annoying to not get the three points,” Jadon Sancho told BBC after Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
“You have to take your chance and if you don’t it’s never over. To concede that goal right at the end is very frustrating.
“I’m very happy to be improving my football and since day one here I’ve felt good and the staff and players have welcomed me. I just have to show 100% on the pitch.
“There’s still a long way to go this season, today was frustrating but we move on and learn from it.”
After a four-game winless run in the Premier League, Chelsea are barely holding on to their place in the top four, with Newcastle just one point behind and Man City within two points.
Sancho himself was one of the brighter spots among the Blues on Saturday, providing a fantastic assist for Cole Palmer’s goal and working hard off the ball.
