Chelsea want to re-sign their own Vini Jr ‘ one of the best in the world’ bid submitted

Chelsea’s recent form has taken a hit, with Enzo Maresca’s side struggling to find consistency. Their last four Premier League outings have been disappointing, leaving the team winless since their 2-1 victory over Brentford at Stamford Bridge on December 15th.
This poor run includes a 0-0 home draw against Everton, a frustrating loss to rivals Fulham, a defeat away to Ipswich Town, and a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace to start the new year. These results highlight a squad that still falls short of Maresca’s expectations, pushing the club to explore reinforcements in the January transfer window.
Among the most exciting potential additions is Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala. The 21-year-old has been sensational at the Allianz Arena, and uncertainty around his contract has drawn the interest of Europe’s elite clubs.
Reports from *Football Insider* suggest Chelsea are eager to pursue Musiala if his contract situation remains unresolved. However, they face competition from Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Real Madrid, all of whom are monitoring the German international. Musiala’s market value is estimated at £90 million, reflecting his elite status in world football.
A move to Chelsea would be a homecoming for Musiala, who developed in their academy and made three appearances for their U18 team before returning to Germany. His departure has proven costly for the Blues, as Musiala has since evolved into one of the brightest talents in the sport.
Under Vincent Kompany at Bayern Munich, Musiala has been phenomenal. This season, he has scored 14 goals and provided six assists in 22 appearances, including nine goals and three assists in 13 Bundesliga games. His pre-Christmas performance against RB Leipzig—a goal and an assist in a 5-1 win—showcases his ability to dominate games.
Adding Musiala to Chelsea’s ranks would dramatically enhance their attacking capabilities. His 20 combined goals and assists this season surpass Cole Palmer’s contributions, making him a transformative addition.
Musiala’s dribbling, creativity, and versatility have drawn comparisons to Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid. He averages 5.68 progressive carries per game compared to Vinicius’ six and 3.64 key passes per game versus Vinicius’ 2.6. Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has described him as “one of the top players in the world,” a claim backed by his statistics and influence on the pitch.
Musiala’s ability to unlock defenses, score crucial goals, and create chances could provide the spark Chelsea needs to rejuvenate their season. As cracks begin to show in Maresca’s squad, Musiala offers the potential to not only fill the gaps but also elevate the team into genuine title contention.
Signing Musiala would be a bold statement of Chelsea’s ambitions. The pressing question is whether the Blues can outmaneuver their rivals and bring him back to Stamford Bridge.
