After eleven years at the club (between 1996 and 2007, 527 matches, and 68 goals), the man with the steel left foot who tortured goalkeepers with his monstrous strikes has held an ambassadorial role since his retirement in 2015. Married to his wife Mariana Luccon, a physiotherapist whom he wed in 2009, the former defender is ending their 15-year union. Despite his large fortune, the Madrid legend is currently living at the Real Madrid training ground. Forced to leave the home where his wife Luccon currently resides, the former Palmeiras player has no home of his own at the moment.

Indeed, the other property where he was supposed to stay while the divorce process is finalised is occupied by his in-laws (his wife’s parents). Facing this complex situation, one of the rooms where Real Madrid players stay has offered its hospitality to the Brazilian star, who is at risk of losing a significant part of his immense 160 million euro fortune. It should be noted that Carlos’s now ex-wife has her name on several properties, which allows her to walk away with a substantial portion of his fortune.
