In the summer of 2022, Kvaratskhelia left Georgian club Dinamo Batumi to join Italian Serie A side Napoli for a reported fee of €10 million to €12 million.

Since then, the 23-year-old has established himself as one of the most talented players in world football, scoring 30 goals and providing 29 assists in 107 appearances.

Consequently, clubs across Europe have been closely monitoring the winger, including Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain. On Thursday evening, reports surfaced that Premier League leaders Liverpool might consider making a move for Kvaratskhelia if he decides to leave Napoli during the January transfer window.

David Ornstein of *The Athletic* wrote on social media: “Liverpool could consider move to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia if leaves Napoli in Jan. LFC not actively seeking winger but admire 23yo, alert to situation + may contend if becomes market opportunity. PSG and CFC also among interested clubs.”

However, prior to joining Napoli, Kvaratskhelia reportedly expressed his aspirations, stating: “My biggest dream is to win the Champions League.” When asked which team he would like to achieve this with, he replied: “With Real Madrid. Since I was a kid I’m a Real Madrid fan. With my brothers, we were always watching their games.”

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the winger reiterated his feelings in 2023, saying: “Real Madrid was my favourite team in my childhood. Now I’m 100% focused on Napoli. I am doing best to help the team. I’m not even thinking about my future.”

Kvaratskhelia’s father, Badri Kvaratskhelia, has also spoken about his son’s admiration for Real Madrid, saying, as per *GOAL*: “For Khvicha, playing against Real Madrid was special. He has always dreamed and I am convinced that he still dreams of playing for Real Madrid. In my family, everyone is a fan of Los Blancos – except for me. For this reason, it was a very special match.”

Additionally, the winger’s agent, Mamuka Jugheli, commented on his client’s feelings toward Real Madrid, stating: “His father and I are Barca fans, but Kvara loves Real Madrid. If I see him in a Barca shirt I’ll be happy, but he’s Madridista.”
