Real Madrid reached the Spanish Super Cup final after defeating Mallorca 3-0 in the semi-finals.

Real Madrid will face Barcelona in the Super Cup final on January 12 at the Jewel Stadium.

According to information from the Spanish newspaper “Defensa Central”, following Real Madrid’s thrilling victory over Mallorca and their qualification for the Spanish Super Cup final, Carlo Ancelotti made decisive decisions regarding the lineup for the upcoming match against Barcelona.

The Italian coach not only acknowledged the outstanding performance of certain players, but also sent clear and direct messages to all the stars, reflecting the great challenge awaiting them in the final.

Brazilian Rodrigo was one of the standout players of the match, delivering an excellent performance against Mallorca. Ancelotti did not hesitate to tell him that this is the level he expects in the final against Barcelona, saying, “I want this level in the final against Barcelona,” while emphasizing the importance of maintaining this high performance to ensure the team’s success.

As for the substitute who turned the tide of the match with his impressive performance, it was Moroccan Brahim Diaz. The player, who showed great potential after coming on in the second half, received a promise from Ancelotti to start in the Super Cup final against Barcelona, telling him, “Be ready to start in the starting lineup for the final in El Clasico.” This statement reflects the coach’s high confidence in Diaz’s ability to deliver in big matches.

However, Ancelotti’s words were not limited to praise and encouragement. He also warned one of his key players about repeating some of the mistakes made during the match. German defender Antonio Rudiger was the target of these warnings, with the coach advising him, “Losing the title with this performance will cost us.” This warning highlights the importance of proper preparation and avoiding fatal errors in the final against Barcelona.

On the other hand, young Spanish defender Raul Asensio received great praise from the club’s president, Florentino Perez. Perez went down to the locker room after the match to congratulate the players on qualifying for the final and particularly praised Asensio, saying: “I want this spirit against Barcelona,” referring to the excellent performance Asensio delivered after coming on as a substitute for Frenchman Tchouameni, showcasing the fighting spirit and determination the team needs in the final.

For his part, Florentino Perez expressed dissatisfaction with the coach’s decision not to replace Jude Bellingham despite his obvious fatigue. Bellingham had played a strong match, but the Italian coach chose not to substitute him, even though the player clearly needed rest.

In a surprising development, Perez also spoke about young Turkish star Arda Guler, who appears to have not received enough playing opportunities in recent matches. Perez expressed his desire to give Guler more chances to feature, especially since the player showed great potential when he did play, deserving more minutes on the pitch, which he has not yet received.

With Real Madrid now through to the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona, Ancelotti faces major challenges in determining the starting lineup. His decisions regarding which players will start in the final will be crucial, as Perez works to ensure that every player is given the right opportunities to showcase their potential.
