This weekend, the focus shifted from the Premier League to the FA Cup as the competition took center stage. On Sunday, title holders Manchester United will face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in what is expected to be the round’s standout fixture.

Ahead of the game, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim, along with his staff and players, was spotted at Stockport station before traveling to London. However, several key players were notably absent from the group. Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, and Victor Lindelof were all missing as they continue their recovery from injuries. Jonny Evans also remains unavailable.

Addressing the squad’s condition, Amorim said, “Vic [Victor Lindelof] continues out, Jonny [Evans] continues out. Amad has a little injury but I think he can recover. Luke Shaw continues his improvement, Mason Mount also. The rest are strong to compete for a place and to play again.”

He added, “At this moment, I am living day by day. We had one week without a game. It does not make sense for me to rest players now and play both games really near. We have to win and follow the last performance. We are in a difficult moment. We are improving, we will put out the best team to try to win. I will choose the best team to win. We want to win the cup. Sometimes it is better to win this type of game and have less time to rest. We just to win this game and then we will think about the next.”

As per reports from Manchester Evening News, the confirmed United squad includes Onana, Bayindir, Heaton, Dalot, Mazraoui, De Ligt, Yoro, Maguire, Martinez, Malacia, Mainoo, Ugarte, Casemiro, Collyer, Fernandes, Eriksen, Antony, Garnacho, Zirkzee, Hojlund, and Amad.

Arsenal, on the other hand, will also be missing key players, including Ethan Nwaneri, Bukayo Saka, Ben White, and Takehiro Tomiyasu, as the two teams gear up for an intense FA Cup showdown.
