🔥🚨BARCELONAAnsu Fati’s Time at Barça Is Over: Flick Clears the Path for His Exit

Ansu Fati’s journey at Barcelona is nearing an end under Hansi Flick. The German coach has made it clear that Fati no longer fits into his plans, urging the 22-year-old to find a new team during the winter transfer window.
Flick’s Message: “You’re Not Going to Play Here”
Before the Christmas break, Flick had a frank discussion with Fati, stating:
“It’s better for you to find a team; you’re not going to play here.”
While he acknowledged Fati’s quality, Flick believes the forward isn’t ready to meet Barça’s demanding standards. He hinted at a possible return if Fati proves himself elsewhere but was firm that, for now, a loan is the best option.
Omitted from Key Matches
Fati’s exclusion from the Super Cup semifinals and final, as well as the Copa del Rey match against Betis, highlights his current status at the club. Even though he’s physically fit, Flick hasn’t called him up for weeks. Normally, players who don’t feature in the league or Champions League are given opportunities in the Copa, but not Fati.
Flick pointed to a lack of effort and progression post-injury:
“After the injury, he didn’t show us his 100%. It’s a shame for him and for us. He has to work harder, like everyone else.”
Potential Destinations for Fati
Barcelona has tasked Jorge Mendes, Fati’s agent, with securing a loan deal. Three La Liga clubs—Girona, Valencia, and Betis—have expressed interest, with a prior agreement with Sevilla now off the table due to disputes over the Olmo transfer.
Cesc Fàbregas’s Como, an ambitious Serie B side featuring former Barça and Real Madrid players like Sergi Roberto and Nico Paz, has also emerged as a possible destination.
A Career at a Crossroads
Fati’s previous loan to Brighton failed to reignite his career. Flick and Deco hope this next loan will be definitive, as the club is clear that failing to excel in his new team will mark the end of his Barça career.
The Number 10 Jersey Is Vacant Again
Fati’s departure leaves the iconic number 10 jersey, once worn by Lionel Messi, vacant. While there’s speculation that the young sensation Lamine Yamal might inherit it, Flick has reservations about placing such a heavy responsibility on a 16-year-old.
With just 186 minutes of playing time this season and an imminent departure looming, Ansu Fati faces a pivotal moment. Whether he can rediscover his form and prove his worth elsewhere will determine if there’s still a future for h
im at Barcelona.
