Juan Laporta clearly announces a surprising decision: Lee Levandovsky was expelled at the end of the season, and puts a global offensive duo on the Deco agenda in the next Mercato

It seems that the days of Robert Levandowski at the Barcelona Club are coming to an end, although the numbers of the Polish attacker are still somewhat satisfactory, his performance is beginning to suffer over time. For Deco, the club’s sports director, the priority is clear: this season should be the last for Levandovsky as commander of the Barcelona attack.
In Barcelona, long-term dependence on Levandovsky is believed to be unsustainable. Although he scored goals and led the team’s attack since he joined, the physical requirements for this role, in addition to his age, began to affect his performance. Deco, in cooperation with the technical staff led by Hansi Flick, believes it is time to make a change to the team’s front line, focusing on including a younger and more dynamic player that better fits with the current gameplay.
According to information from the Spanish newspaper “El Nacional ”, regarding alternatives to Levandovsky, La Porta is already working on identifying options available. Among the most prominent names on the list is Victor Geocires, the Swedish striker who performs a distinguished performance in the English Premier League.
At the age of 26, Geocires is the ideal choice for Barcelona thanks to his youth, physical strength, technical skills and ability to relate to the attack. In addition, its price will be more reasonable compared to other options in the market.
Another name on the list is Alexander Isaac, Newcastle striker, who also caught the attention of Hansi Flick and Laporta. Isaac is distinguished by his ability to play in multiple attack locations, but contracting with him will be more complicated given the high cost involved in moving from the English club.
Between the two options, Geocires appears to be the luckiest. Laporta believes that his playing style is perfectly suited to Flick’s philosophy, which focuses on mobility, high pressure and space creation. In addition, the reasonable price of Geocires will give Barcelona the opportunity to meet other needs in the transportation market.
Levandovsky’s departure will mark the end of an important stage, but Barcelona is convinced that this step is necessary to maintain his competitiveness at the highest level. As the Levandovsky contract continues, his future will largely depend on offers that may be received next summer. Currently, Deco clearly has a tight plan and does not intend to waste time implementing it.
