Fans discover person Rasmus Hojlund angrily pushed away during Bruno Fernandes’ goal celebrations

United were seemingly heading for a disappointing 1-1 draw after Cyriel Dessers scored for the SPL side with just two minutes left.

However, Fernandes, 30, spared his side’s blushes with a sumptuous volley to hand United all three points in second-half stoppage time.

The United captain then celebrated with the overjoyed Red Devils fans gathered inside Old Trafford before bumping into a Rangers staff member.

Rangers’ kitman David MacGregor had been heading for the tunnel after the Portuguese scored but collided with the midfielder as he looked to evade United’s celebrations.

Hojlund, 21, then raised his arms before appearing to shove the staff member aside before continuing to join in with his team’s celebrations.

MacGregor did not react and continued to walk away from the incident.

United’s victory sees them go fourth in the 36-team Europa League group phase ahead of their trip to Romania where they will face FCSB (Steaua București) on Thursday 30 January.

A victory would cement a top-eight spot, while a draw could still see them gain automatic qualification for the round of 16, depending on results elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Rangers are 13th but have still done enough to secure a play-off place at the least ahead of their final match against Union Saint-Gilloise at Ibrox next week. According to UEFA, 14 teams – Anderlecht, Athletic Club, AZ Alkmaar, Bodø/Glimt, Eintracht Frankfurt, FCSB, Galatasaray, Lyon, Manchester United, Olympiacos, Rangers, Tottenham, Union SG, Viktoria Plzeň – have secured at least a play-off place in the competition.
