LIVERPOOL
š©ā½BREAKING NEWS: Federico chiesajust broke a record that no one has broken in Liverpool since 1906.

Federico Chiesa may still be finding his feet under Arne Slot at Liverpool, but he has already achieved a remarkable record that hasnāt been matched since 1906. Though itās not necessarily the milestone he envisioned halfway through his first season at Anfield, Chiesa has won all eight of his appearances for the club so far.
According to Optaās Michael Reid, this makes him the first player to win his first eight competitive matches for Liverpool since George Latham accomplished the feat in 1906. Interestingly, Jayden Danns also joined Chiesa in achieving this unique record after coming off the bench in Liverpoolās 4-1 victory over Ipswich on Saturday.
Chiesa, a Ā£12.5 million summer signing, has seen his playing time increase steadily in recent weeks as he works toward full fitness following a challenging period. Over the past fortnight, he has made as many appearances (four) as he had in the previous four months, signaling a gradual return to form.
His recent contributions include his first goal for Liverpool in the 4-0 FA Cup win over Accrington Stanley, as well as substitute appearances against Brentford, Lille, and Ipswich. All signs point to him being close to earning his first start for Slotās side since September and only his second overall since his move from Juventus.
That opportunity could come in the Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday or, perhaps more likely, in the FA Cup fourth-round tie against Plymouth on February 9.
While this perfect record is a fun piece of trivia, itās unlikely to be something Chiesa dwells on for long, as heāll be focused on fully integrating into the team. As for George Latham, after his historic eight-game winning streak, he only managed one more victory in his 19-game Liverpool career, leaving the club for Southport after a difficult run of results.
For Chiesa, the hope is that this achievement marks the start of a much more successful chapter at Anfield.
