BARCELONAPaul Pogba drops huge hint on transfer preference after secret contract talks

Paul Pogba says he has received a number of offers from clubs as he targets a return to football in one of Europe’s elite leagues.
The former Manchester
United and Juventus midfielder, 31, is a free agent after terminating his contract with the latter back in November. That agreement came after his suspension for taking a banned substance was reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Pogba last played in September 2023 and is eligible to return to competitive football in March. He has been able to sign with a new club since January.
He revealed to Twitch streamer Amine this week that he was in talks over a return – and the former World Cup winner has confirmed he is only interested in joining a top team.
“There are offers. There are some interesting things, some not so interesting,” Pogba said. “Going to play in Russia is not the objective. To play for a team that’s playing in the Champions League? We always want the best clubs, but it’s not just up to me.
“There are discussions. It’s being finalised. I can’t say any more.”
While Pogba teased an agreement is close, ESPN claim that they have been informed that there is still some way to go before Pogba signs up with a new club. They do add, though, that he has offers on the table from teams in Europe’s top five leagues.
